Ola Electric Share Price & Q1 FY26 Update

Q1 Performance (April–June 2025):

Net loss: ₹428 crore — widened from ₹347 crore YoY

Revenue: ₹828 crore — down 49.6% YoY

Auto division EBITDA: hit near-neutral in June, strong improvement

Auto unit gross margin: rose from 13.8% to 25.6%

Share Market Movement:

After Q1 results, shares spiked ~9% intraday, reaching ~₹43.6 on BSE, later hovering around ₹41–42

Earlier this week, shares were at a 52-week low (~₹39.6) amid broader weakness

Why Shares Gained Despite Losses:

1. Major cost-cutting efforts – operating expenses significantly reduced under Project Lakshya

2. EBITDA neutrality in auto segment seen as a key turning point

3. Management reiterated strong cash reserves and a clear path toward profitability

Analysts caution shareholder sentiment can still swing volatile given the recovery stage .

Outlook Ahead

Company aims to turn operating cash flow positive in FY27

Analysts expect earnings to stabilize if operational improvements continue

Investor Takeaway

Positives: Improvements in EBITDA margins, cost efficiency, and auto segment cash flow

Risks: Low revenue base, market share decline (~20% vs ~50% last year), regulatory scrutiny, and predecessor block trade pressure

Verdict: Recovery path is promising, but stability is still uncertain — a cautious watch-and-wait strategy is advisable.
